自然風景、野生動物、自然のなかの人の営みを撮影するのに多くの人や機材は不要です。可能な限り環境に同化できる少ない人数と機材で運用する、シンプルな「スキルフル・ミニマム・クルー・スタイル」で十分だと考えます。
この撮影スタイルは、制約が多くチャンスの少ない自然環境下に不可欠な要素である「機動性」を確保できる上、環境負荷を最小限に抑えることができます。
スキルと機材はこだわります。多くを語りかけてくる自然の中で臨場感のあるシーンを捉えるには、チャンスを逃さない経験と知識、知恵と撮影技術、そして高性能な機材を駆使することで実現できることが多いからです。
自然の美しく厳しい姿と、その中の人の営みを多くの人と共有したい。そんな気持ちでフィルム・メイキングしてます。
